New posting & participation schedule

Autumn greetings to all our subscribers, family and friends here at WordPress.

I started a new job mid-September. The busy season at my employer is upon us with possible weekend hours ahead. In order to keep up with the research and writing of posts in my spare time, I have to cut back on the frequency of my engagement here at WordPress and Facebook.

This means I will publish a new post once or twice a month. When I do, I will also read up on the postings of the blogs I follow. I’ll also get to any emails, comments or feedback related to Ancestry.

Comments to this blog are easy to reply to from my phone so at least that will stay current.

I enjoy all my contacts, blog friends and family. This is the best way I have to keep things going and meet the requirements of my work schedule. I may not be able to follow everyone on a consistent basis but I will make sure to stop by and leave a comment when I have something worthwhile to contribute to the discussion.

  1. Best of luck with the new job, Emily. I will miss your blog as I always learn so much—even though our mothers lived in different parts of Brooklyn and were of different backgrounds, they nevertheless shared the same times and places. But focus on what you need to do, and I will look forward to your posts whenever they appear!

    1. Thank you so much, Amy. By mid-2020 things will even out. Right now I need to space things out so I can adjust to all the changes. It is all good. I will catch up with your blog as I can. I enjoy all the discoveries you turn up.

      1. No worries, Emily. You know I always appreciate your feedback because you are a very careful and thoughtful reader. But take care of yourself!!

  2. I have noticed you posting less and less. I can well understand being busy and no time to type, but as long as you’re well, we can not complain about how often you post. Get settled in your new job and I hope you enjoy what you do.

    1. Thanks so much, G.P.!! I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement so there cannot be anything about my job here. All is well in my world. The move to Linden , NJ has been very good for me. I am onvolved with a local mutual help group as well as a canary breedets club. Balancing all this is imporyant so I often have to budget my time. Facebook can be fun but often it wastes time, too.

      1. My distant cousin has a private family history and travel group on FB. That and the canary club are the ones I engage with. I stay away otherwise. It gets toxic very quickly.
